4 évtizede dolgozom a felsőoktatásban, mindvégig a tanárképzésben. A Selye János Egyetem 2009-ben alakult Variológiai kutatócsoportjának vezetőjeként egy kis kutatócsoport munkáját koordinálom. Jómagam az anyanyelvi kompetenciafejlesztéshez kapcsolódóan a középiskolai tankönyvek stilisztika és retorika anyagát vizsgálom a beszéd- és stíluskészség-fejlesztés lehetőségeinek figyelembevételével.

Developing of communicative competence in the light of the secondary school rhetorical and stylistic curriculum
In this study the author investigates the curricula and methods in the Hungarian secondary school textbooks in Hungary and Slovakia use to develop the learners' native speaker communicative competence including the development of communication skills. The author also investigates the way these textbooks contribute to the development of basic oral communication skills.
First of all, she analyses the amount and quality of rhetorical and stylistic knowledge contained by the textbooks and examines the extent the exercises and tasks related to the teaching material contribute to developing communicative competence.
