In October 2017, we started to research in teacher training in the Hungarian language teachers in Slovakia to study their learning styles and preferences. The aim of the study was to contribute to the development of self-knowledge on the one hand, and on the other, to find the correlation between learning variables. The test was performed using the LSI developed by David Kolb.
In this paper, we have given a comprehensive description of the future teacher students at BA and MA level, and we have shown what learning preferences they have in the Kolb system, and whether it is possible to identify some contexts and regularities at the level of primary and secondary variables and the background variables of students. The research offered an opportunity to review the goodness factors of KLSI as a measuring instrument.
