The paper is based on the experience I had while teaching a course on literary translation for our MA students at PCU in 2016. Since not all the students benefited from a bilingual context in order to be able to appropriate the intended target language, i.e. Romanian, I resorted to an online Hungarian translation of a volum of poems by a British author, for the first stage of the process. Students were asked to express their opinions, which were used to actually increase their awareness of the main principles of literary translation. Moreover, the students in the Arts Department were asked to illustrate what is going to be the end product of the endeavor, a bilingual volume, English & Hungarian, the first in a series of an intended Arts & Letters Workshop.
